Jordan Brand's retro category has a cyclical nature, with classic colorways being released repeatedly to appeal to both older and newer sneakerheads. In 2023, MJ's imprint is set to bring back some of its gems, including the Air Jordan 1 High "Lucky Green" that first launched in 2009 as part of a "DMP" Pack.
This reissue pays homage to the Boston Celtics, one of Jordan and the Bulls' rivals in the '90s. The shoe's titular green shade mirrors the Eastern Conference squad's primary color, prominently featured on the flaps, laces, and lower heel overlays. The popular "Black Toe" color blocking, with solid black Swooshes and overlays set against angelic quarters and toe boxes, is also present. The main difference with this upcoming release is the modified tongue branding, featuring the more favored Nike Air logo instead of the Jumpman.
